You don’t have to be religious to consider a day of rest in your 7-day week. At least one day without work related issues most definitely can help your well-being as well as your work. The mind, body and spirit need relaxation to deal with you past week as well as sleep and dreaming as a mandatory request.
Today, Saturday, which is usually my day off from work, I had spent a short 2 hour nap and had suddenly woke up with a solution to an existing work-related issue. Even though you may not be directly thinking about work or any other task, the mind is still background functioning and needs this recovery time to restore itself.
