Solving any Problem

Article written by guest writer, Matthew Dwyer

If you were watching a movie and you decided you didn’t like a particular scene or behavior of a character, how would you change it? Going directly up to the screen and yelling at it to change would seem silly, right? Could you touch the screen and make it change? Shadow puppets? How about shaking the projector?

Sharing the Love – Tech Style

May 19th, 2010
Share

For awhile now, I have been wondering what this twitter thing really means. Why do many people love it (probably more techie people related to silicon valley) and why many of my close ones don’t even use it. I decided to research the idea of twitter and want to share the results with you over time. For this test, I will post a live stream of twitter and periodically look at this page and the love shared.

Come view it with me and post your findings. Love. Peace. Harmony.

Findings:

#1 We all need a way to express ourselves and feel connected, so Twitter is a great way to do so, especially with your cell phone anytime anywhere connection.

The future of compostable packaging

April 25th, 2010
Share

About 2 months ago, while shopping at the local supermarket I had stopped and picked up some food for an upcoming gathering and chosen a bag of SunChips as one of the shopping items. Just by touching the bag, it had felt different from the bag purchased prior to this time. The foot and a half it took to move these chips to my cart had made a reasonable loud noise. This sound had caused me to re-look at the bag and I had noticed that it was 100% compostable and felt much thinner. I was so excited at this idea that I started telling most of the friends at the party and was probably bothering some as I excitingly told to them “what do you think or it”, “feel it”, “check it out”.

Many Problems Would Solve If

April 23rd, 2010
Share

Many Problems would solve if we were to step outside of our own reality and experience life with no time and no space, even if it were for only 24 hours. If this were the case, we would be able to eliminate most problems as we would not throw trash on the floor for it would immediately influence us all. The trash would smell and decompose immediately and would ugly itself in front of us at all times. The wind would not blow it away either and we would not be able to walk away from it. We would not force, fight or anger others as the repercussions would be felt immediately upon us and neither could we hide from it as the result would be understood clearly.

So we must think before we act as time and space makes it easier for us to make mistakes as we many times do not see what’s coming.

Terabytes of data inside

April 20th, 2010
Share

Take a look at a powerful image and within a fraction of a second your mood will change, your eyes may water and your inner energy will shift instantly from chakra to chakra. In addition to viewing a photographers masterpiece, we bring into each and every picture our own data from the moment that light reflects onto the surface of the media to the moment light bounces back to us, we bring our own experience, ideals, even our memories; so every image is a live little social connecting and educational network with little to no boundaries.

One single song can influence and effect our mind, body and soul as music goes deep inside us. Although entertaining music and beats can be fun, here at globalheal, we usually prefer meaningful lyrics and deep-penetrating songs that fill us up. We would like to share with you some songs of inspiration, complaints and protest. Sit back and take it all in.

The Green Beautiful

April 15th, 2010

la belle verte - the green beautifulWhy do we walk around on asphalt all day, live in high cages, eat oily and unhealthy, place our soil in green bins and freak-out and road-rage? Even other beings from other planets don’t want to visit earth.

The Green Beautiful (“la Belle Verte”) is a French film written and directed by Coline Serreau. This film lets us take a side-step through it’s humoristic point of view; let’s us see our inconsistencies, irrational behavior and how we are in many cases out of tune as human beings. A main theme in the film includes our consciousness, universal understanding towards nature and how all we need is to be in tune.

The movie in my opinion is a must and is definitely something to talk about.

Enjoy the movie!

Changing over to new possibilities

March 27th, 2010
Share

Beginning from March 20th, 2010, spring had officially opened its eyes for us. An inner feeling has brought me to think about the new possibilities that this new chi welcomes. Passing through the inner yard of my place, an innocent breath of white scented aroma gently takes its journey through the nose and into a “what a good morning” greeting before entering the car. This is a hint to what the new season is here for.

If you pay attention to the little details outside, you can see the blooming of new life. Until this time we have been comfortable in our “wintery rest” with our warm foods (especially shabu shabu), our comfortable home and frequent all-nighters; now it is the time for the sun to bring MORE of its own.

As a side thought – The first barbeque of the season included a bonus of mini cupcakes and hapiness brought from appreciation coming from friends.

Happy Spring 2010, welcoming all that is out there with open arms.
