Humans have always used some form of material to write on for many centuries. The Egyptians used papyrus to write on, and in the second century the Chinese invented the first form of paper. Over the centuries, paper has evolved into so many forms and it’s used for many purposes other than just for writing.
Fast-forwarding to the current electronic age of technology and the ability to create, store, communicate and manage information in a myriad of electronic formats has led to our need to use information and instant electronic communications methods at faster and more complete and secure methods than paper can offer.

Ayurveda is an ancient health science from India dated back at least 5000 years old. It was written in the Vedas, India’s books of knowledge. Ayurveda addresses mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing. It is known as individualized medicine, since two people with the same disease will be treated differently.
Ayurveda looks at the world and everything in it as being made up of 5 elements. These elements are ether, air, fire, water and earth.

Earth’s total surface is an area that measures 197,000,000 square miles and in this large space, we can see the myriad tribes, customs, countries, events, miracles and mishaps. One problem that we do face is our ignorance and our convincing attitude that “our” (referring to a particular group that we associate ourselves with) way is the correct one and that the rest need to be convinced.
Through education and awareness, we help realize our similarities amongst each other, instead of categorizing our differences and distancing ourselves from others through our ignorance tool.
In this fun globalheal.com series, utilizing maps, location and media, we would like to help share our similarities and wondrous examples of love, customs and how we all contribute.

Most of us take our old tape recorders, tv’s, microphones, dvd’s and pentium 2 computers and place them next to our garbage bin hoping some geek will pick them up or just wait for the garbage collection to arrive. For our information, there are much better options to consider that hurt our environment much less and help less fortunate who cannot afford these old electronics.
The progress of electronics and technology seem to be speeding up and leaping forward for every two to three years, products move to the out-dated category, but NOT to all of us.
Please STRONGLY consider these other options before you throw them away because we all know that there is enough waste in the landfills already.

No, it’s not a new Cabbage Patch Doll!
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch also known as the “Pacific Trash Vortex” is an extremely large area of trash, mainly seen by plastics and chemical sludge trapped in the ocean’s constant slow rotating currents. The great pacific garbage patch is roughly located in the central North Pacific Ocean between 135° to 155°W and 35° to 42°N. It’s size is said to be roughly of the state of Texas or larger, containing approximately 3.5 million tons of trash.
